Our industrial packaging services are designed to bring greater quality, innovation, digitalization, automation and sustainability to the pallet wrapping process.
To achieve this, we work in collaboration with local, national and European partners to generate technology that allows us to offer our clients improved services with more advanced wrapping machines, which use stretch films with superior performance and provide higher quality data.
In 2021, we carried out our first materiality study to design an ambitious Sustainability Master Plan, aligned with the priorities of our stakeholders, which would guide us in leading the transition of the packaging sector towards a more sustainable one (see Sustainability Report 2021).
As a result of several years of innovation with technological partners and following this sustainability plan, in 2022 we began to carry out the first developments of Smart Films, stretch film reels with RFID labels.
Smart Films, among many other advantages, will provide more efficiency and sustainability to our clients’ wrapping process.
We are applying this technology as standard to the new range of smart wrappers designed and manufactured in 2022 (wrappers equipped with RFID reading devices), but thanks to our own technology, we will be able to progressively apply it to the park of wrappers currently in operation (more of 1,900 wrapping machines) installed in clients in Spain, Portugal and France.
