Easyfairs and the Basque Food Cluster renew their collaboration agreement for the second edition of Empack and Logistics & Automation Bilbao. The only meeting point for packaging, logistics and transport professionals in the Basque Country.
Next February, on 28 and 29, Empack and Logistics & Automation Bilbao returns to the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) for its second edition. The event, organised by Easyfairs, will once again bring together the packaging, logistics and transport sectors in the Basque Country. The fair, with its 80 brands represented, will bring together the latest solutions in packaging, intralogistics, automation and robotics in a space where, in addition to the exhibition area, there will be spaces for conferences, opening the way to networking activities that will allow challenges to be shared and innovative, efficient and sustainable solutions to be discovered.
In addition to the exhibition area and the specialised conference area, the event aims to give professionals the opportunity to immerse themselves in the future of the sector and to this end, the Live Tours are back, a series of guided tours for small groups of visitors (20 people per Tour). These tours will take visitors around a selection of stands to get to know the most innovative products or solutions of the edition in less than an hour, at different times and on different themes.
As was the case at the first edition, the show organisers have renewed a collaboration agreement with the BASQUE FOOD CLUSTER, which is why the Cluster has invitations available for its members. It will also organise a round table discussion on the progress towards safe, sustainable and competitive packaging in the food sector, with the participation of companies such as: Kaiku, ITENA, Elika Fundazioa, Across The Shopper, among others. This round table will take place on 29 February, starting at 1.05 pm. It will present the conclusions of a nationwide study carried out on more than 1,000 consumers, which offers interesting insights into material preferences, the perception of sustainability and the way in which convenience affects them, among others. All this work has been carried out within the framework of the food packaging innovation platform ONTZI | BASQUE FOOD PACKAGING INNOVATION HUB, promoted by the Basque Food Cluster and ELIKA Fundazioa.
