Madrid, 07 June 2023.
As part of the 8th edition of Global Exhibitions Day, which is being held this Wednesday, 7 June, Easyfairs has highlighted the importance of trade fairs for social development, as well as for boosting the economy and business relations in various sectors.
The central theme of this edition, which is promoted by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), is “We manage meeting places and markets for all”, thus underlining the importance of these spaces as fundamental platforms for the creation of commercial opportunities and the exchange of knowledge.
This concept is based on three fundamental pillars. Firstly, trade fairs facilitate the growth of industries by promoting contacts, showcasing products and services, and developing business opportunities. In addition, these events generate economic and social benefits, favouring employment and tax revenues in the regions where they are held. Finally, the sustainability of the fairs is highlighted, reducing the need to travel multiple times and providing a space to address solutions to the climate crisis.
“The growth of industries, economic and social benefits, and sustainability are pillars that underline the importance of trade fairs and trade events. By celebrating World Fairs Day, we emphasise the relevance of these spaces as engines of growth and promote their recognition and appreciation worldwide,” says Oscar Barranco, general manager of Easyfairs Iberia, organiser of the most important trade fairs in the industrial sector in Spain.
These include Advanced Manufacturing, which for more than 15 years has been leading industrial innovation events in Spain, including the MetalMadrid, Robomática and Composites Madrid shows within its exhibition offering, and which, this 2023, in addition to its traditional edition in Madrid, will hold its first edition in Catalonia, with the launch of Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona on 13 and 14 September. Easyfairs also leads the way in meetings for the packaging and logistics sectors with Empack and Logistics & Automation, which in addition to being a national point of reference with its Madrid edition, has annual editions in Bilbao and Oporto.
Dates of upcoming trade fairs
– Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona: 13 and 14 September, at the Fira de Barcelona – Gran Vía exhibition centre.
– Advanced Manufacturing Madrid: 15 and 16 November, at IFEMA
– Empack and Logistics & Automation: 29 and 30 November, at IFEMA
